Urban Spaces and the Public
in Delhi-NCR

Art by Aditya Nayak

The project explores the trajectory of the publicness of urban spaces over time. It traces the changes in public spaces, the idea of publicness, and how these changes affect the nature of public conversations. Public space as universal access by all, and universal inclusivity of voices in such spaces: Spatial and discursive publicness.

For this study, we conduct a qualitative analysis to understand people, their socio-economic backgrounds, social media usage, work life, personal life, home and neighbourhood, public spaces and the city, and their understanding of   Socio-cultural, political and economic matters.
