Car Parking and
Public Spaces in Delhi

“World War 3 will be fought on parking and traffic,” says Sowmya Reddy in the 2022 winter session in Belagavi, Karnataka (Uppinangady, 2022).

Car parking is framed as an urban problem in many Asian countries due to rapid urbanisation and motorisation.  We are interested in exploring the evolution of public parking and how that frames the idea of publicness in Indian cities.
