Jahanpanah City Forest

Jahanpanah City forest emerges as a case study from our project on Public Spaces, essentially to trace the spatial and temporal history of some of the major public parks in Delhi.

To document the Jahanpanah city forest, we interviewed long-term residents of the colonies near the forest, like CR Park. One of them is the General Secretary (lawyer by profession) of an informal organisation called ‘Friends of Jahanpanah’ working towards the green initiative of the forest, and even a DDA section officer from the horticulture department.

We intend to interview academicians and government officials and collect related archival data.
